Most trainings on race and identity center monoracial frameworks. This series centers cultural dislocation as trauma, providing identity-affirming, relational, and sensory-informed tools for healing.
Who This Is For
This series is designed for mixed race and culturally hybrid people who carry both healer and bridge inside them — including:
Therapists, counselors, and social workers
Physicians, nurses, acupuncturists, and holistic health providers
Coaches, bodyworkers, educators, and facilitators
Mixed race, transracial adoptee, or culturally hybrid people who want to feel whole in their work and story
No prior experience with identity frameworks is needed — just curiosity, humility, and a longing to belong more fully to yourself.
No prior experience with racial identity frameworks is required.
Level: Intermediate to Advanced (clinical focus with broader cultural application)
The Challenge
You’ve spent a lifetime being the bridge.
You know what it means to read the room before you speak — to gauge which parts of yourself are safe to bring forward.
You’ve learned to translate, to soften, to explain.
You’ve made yourself legible so that others could stay comfortable.
You’ve been to the DEI trainings. You’ve sat in conversations about “diversity” that somehow never included you.
And even in healing spaces — therapy, coaching, medicine, bodywork — you’ve felt the quiet hum of not quite belonging.
You’re the one who knows how to hold others’ pain with care and competence. But who holds the part of you that’s tired of being the bridge?
The Promise
This training was created for you.
Reclaiming Belonging is a two-part, embodied learning experience for mixed race and culturally hybrid healers — the ones who are both the healers and the ones healing.
We’ll name what so many of us have felt but never had words for: cultural dislocation — the ache of being unseen, misread, or fragmented across identities — and explore how it lives in our bodies, our work, and our relationships.
This is not a theory-based DEI or cultural competency training. It’s a homecoming — a space where you don’t have to translate yourself to be understood. Where your story isn’t a teaching example — it’s the wisdom that leads the work.
Training Overview + Logistics:
Part 1 — Mapping Identity and Cultural Dislocation
February 13, 2026
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Mountain Time)
We begin with the Racial Identity Mapping Tool© — a framework for understanding how internal belonging and external legibility shape our experience of safety, authenticity, and connection.
Together, we’ll explore how monoracism, microaggressions, and legibility bias show up in our bodies and professional settings — and how to transform dislocating behaviors into microaffirmations that restore trust and dignity.
You’ll leave with language, insight, and reflection tools you can use in your healing work, supervision, or personal practice.
What You’ll Learn
Define and recognize cultural dislocation and external illegibility as relational traumas
Understand how monoracism and microaggressions uniquely affect mixed race and culturally hybrid people
Identify legibility biases and implicit assumptions that can disrupt trust in care relationships
Explore how to transform culturally dislocating behaviors into microaffirmations that affirm identity and belonging
Practice introducing and adapting the Racial Identity Mapping Tool© in your setting
You’ll Leave With
Clear language and frameworks for naming dislocation and legibility with compassion
Reflective prompts and examples adaptable to clinical, somatic, and spiritual work
A printable version of the Racial Identity Mapping Tool© and other tools for client or personal use
Part 2 — From Dislocation to Empowerment
March 13, 2026
10:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Mountain Time)
Building on the foundation from Part 1, this session introduces the Mixed Race Cycle of Empowerment© — a developmental model that maps how we move from internalized oppression and disconnection toward belonging, integration, and pride.
Through reflection, movement, and guided discussion, you’ll learn interventions that bridge narrative, somatic, and ancestral healing approaches.
We’ll explore how identity healing unfolds over time — and how to support yourself and others through it with compassion, structure, and presence.
What You’ll Learn
Understand the six stages of the Mixed Race Cycle of Empowerment©
Identify and address internalized oppression and cultural shame in ourselves, our clients and our communities
Apply culturally affirming, trauma-informed interventions to support identity repair
Integrate somatic and narrative approaches that center body-based wisdom and cultural continuity
Adapt identity work for neurodivergent or sensory-sensitive clients and practitioners
You’ll Leave With
A framework for understanding and healing cultural dislocation as trauma
Somatic and narrative practices that nurture embodied belonging
A sense of language and legitimacy around your own story
Renewed confidence in your work, rooted in authenticity instead of performance
A deeper connection to community and to yourself
6-Month Reflective Cohort: “Mixed & Rooted”
For mixed race and culturally dislocated clinicians and healers of color (only).
Monthly 90-minute facilitated gatherings
Focus on embodied belonging, peer reflection, and identity integration
Combines somatic regulation, ancestral exploration, and professional consultation
Optional affinity space breakouts for queer, neurodivergent, or transracial adoptee participants
Participants leave with:
Ongoing community support and accountability for applying identity-affirming frameworks
Integration of personal and clinical identity work
A community of practice centered on collective healing and cultural re-rooting
